My Wedding Invitations are Semi-Custom

Kelly Henry

Uppercase Designs Invitations

Your wedding invitations establish the overall aesthetic of your wedding and give guests an introduction of what’s to come. Uppercase Designs works closely with couples to create custom or semi-custom invitations and paper goods to fit the style and personality of your event. With so many wedding invitation options available, it can be overwhelming. You are not alone if you don’t know where to start.

Semi-Custom Invitations

My Wedding Collection Semi-Custom Invitations are ideal for couples that desire simplicity and beautiful designs. Let me guide you through an effortless selection process to find the perfect invitation and matching wedding stationery that will carry you through each step and event leading up to and including your wedding day. When you order from me, you can expect the finest designs, superior quality, and one-on-one personalized service from an expert invitation designer.

My artfully curated semi-custom invitations are designed to make the process of choosing your wedding invitations simple. Semi-custom invitations are perfect for couples who are mindful of their invitation budget, but may wish to make some minor customizations. Many online sites offering semi-custom invitations may restrict the ability to make changes to the design (often limited to names, date, time and location). Wording templates may also be restricted due to layout and spacing. I, however, offers clients the option to alter invitation colors and fonts in addition to changing wording templates, names, dates, times and location. You will also be given the opportunity to select the paper stock that best suits your taste and style. Depending on how far out you are from your wedding, semi-custom invitations could be a great choice due to the simplified design process and shorter timeline.

Custom Invitations

For the unique wedding couple with custom taste and an eye for design, I’m pleased to offer custom invitations. I offer custom designed save-the-dates, invitations, programs, and additional wedding stationery that will reflect your personal style. Digital, thermography, and foil print stationery are currently offered with the Custom Collection. Commemorate this most special occasion with an exclusive and singular design. With custom wedding invitations, the sky’s the limit!

As the process for designing custom invitation designs requires additional time, the design process should begin at least 6-7 months out. Your wedding invitations should be ordered 3-4 months in advance to allow time for assembly and addressing. To help assist in the process, I do offer assembly and addressing services. Custom Design pricing is unique to each client and based on a number of various factors. A quote will be prepared based on your design and color preferences, print type, quantity, and additional touches. The custom designed invitation suite includes a $300 design fee. The design fee is a one-time charge for your wedding invitations and day-of stationery.

There are many factors that will determine whether semi-custom or custom invitations are the right choice for your wedding. Keep your timeline, desired budget, and design style in mind when weighing your options. If you’re not sure which route to choose, contact me and tell us about your wedding day! I can review all your options and help you find the perfect invitations for your special day.

I'm supposed to write a blog?

Kelly Henry

OK, I guess the answer is Yes, but why?

So you can get to know me better?
So you can see what I like?
So you can see how I work?

Well my guess is the answer to all those questions is Yes.

Here it goes.

I’m Kelly and have lived in Ohio my entire life. I currently reside in Toledo, Ohio, with my boyfriend of six years and his fourteen year old son. I spent 13 years working in retail for a great company, attending school along the way studying graphic design and business marketing. It took me awhile to find my way and passion for design, but I finally made it. I am currently working as a full-time graphic designer for a locally family owned business and running my own graphic design/stationery business, UpperCase Designs.

Twenty things you need to know about me.

  1. I love simplicity and clarity.

  2. My passion is page layout design.

  3. I need to do lists to get through my day, new best friend {TeuxDeux}.

  4. Addiction = Chocolate

  5. I don’t mind making a mistake, as long as I learn something from it.

  6. I don’t like to be wrong, so I have learned to keep my mouth shut when not sure.

  7. My closet is mostly made up of black, gray, and blues.

  8. I love carbs - potatoes and breads are a weakness.

  9. My boyfriend and I have been together for 6 years. He is the first person I ever dated that was a complete stranger.

  10. I once saw his profile on a dating site and did not contact him because he was a full-time Dad; I guess it was meant to be.

  11. I wanted to be a pilot as a kid.

  12. Smith’s Rocky Road ice cream is my favorite (that specific brand only!).

  13. I am one of the most honest people you will ever meet.

  14. I love when clients turn into friends.

  15. Best pizza toppings - pepperoni and mushrooms!

  16. I’m allergic to cats.

  17. I love wearing sweatshirts, I have a lot of them.

  18. My grandma keeps a picture of me taped up in her kitchen cabinet. I am about 3 years old sitting on the toilet holding my nose.

  19. I wrote my senior term paper about serial killers.

  20. I am always cold. (see #17)

I hope you will follow my blog and stay connect to see what inspires me as a designer. See some of my latest projects and learn new skills that helps make me a better designer.
