Suites and Accessories

Your wedding invitations contain different components to give your guests all the information they need for attending your wedding. Below are a list of all the possible pieces to be included in your wedding invitation. This will help you determine what pieces will need to be included and ordered for your wedding invitations.

Wedding Invitations: The invitation is the forefront of the wedding stationery suite. It includes all of the important information about your wedding including the date, time, and location. Your invitation also sets the tone for your wedding and lets your guests know if your wedding style is casual or formal so they can dress accordingly.

Wedding Envelopes: The envelope that your wedding invitation suite is sent in. It includes a return address and postage. UpperCase Designs offer recipient addressing for your envelopes.

Reception card: The reception card is an optional card to be included in your wedding invitation suite. If you reception will be held at a different location from the wedding ceremony you may find it easier for you guests to have a separate card. If your ceremony and reception are held at the same location you have the option to note reception to follow on the wedding invitation. Reception cards should include the following:

  • reception location

  • reception cocktail hour if hosting cocktails

  • reception start time

Response card:  The response, reply, or RSVP card is included with your invitation and is the way for your guests to let you know if they will or will not be able to attend your wedding.  A pre-stamped and pre-addressed envelope is included with the RSVP in order to make it easy for your guests to respond. Tip - save yourselves a little money and send out a postcard RSVP. Once you get your responses back in the mail, you will be able to give your caterer, venue and any additional wedding professional a head count of expected attendees. Response cards should include the following:

  • respond by date - the RSVP deadline, I suggest 1 month out from your wedding date

  • accept and decline checkboxes

  • a place for your guests to fill in the names of the people attending

  • entrée options for guests to select their meal choice (only include if you are offering different entrées for a sit down dinner)

Response Card Envelope: Includes return address and postage and is sent with the reply card so that your guests can easily return their response.

Enclosure Card: An enclosure card includes directions to your wedding venue or other important information for your guests that are not included on the invite such as hotel accommodations.

Thank You Card: It is important to send out your thank you cards in a timely manner. I suggest you order your thank you cards before the wedding as part of your wedding invitation suite.

Everyone's wedding reception is different from, classy and sophisticated to small and intimate. Here are a few different wedding reception stationery pieces you may want to include in your day.

Dinner Menu: Guests will appreciate you sharing the specifics of the dinner served at your reception. You can choose to have a dinner menu present for each guest or have one to two menus per table to be passed around. If you are serving a buffet style dinner a sign at each station will be sufficient.

Drink Menu: Many of my customers will post two frame signs at the bar area with a description of beverages served for the evening. You may also choose to station one drink menu per table to be passed amongst the guests.

Escort CardsYou can go as classic or creative with your escort cards. The card serve the purpose of your guest knowing the table they will be sitting at during your reception. Cards can double as favors for your guests and please display cards in an easily accessible area.

Table Numbers: If you are using escort card then you will need coordinating table numbers for your reception venue. Keep it simple with the classic number assignment or incorporate favorite stories or hobbies about the bride and groom.

Seating Charts: Want to forgo the escort cards? UpperCase Designs also offers seating chart signs for your reception venue.

Custom stationery is what UpperCase Designs is all about. I have designed stationery pieces for welcome bags and boxes for traveling guests, designed custom tags for party favors or candy bar tables. Some of the other special stationery pieces I have designed for couples include custom photo booth signs, drink straw tags, wedding programs and small signage for the event.

Please inquire about any special custom pieces you may want for your wedding day.
